I live in Santa Cruz California with my husband, our daughter, 2 adorable dogs, and 3 trouble making cats. It’s a full house and I wouldn’t want it any other way. As someone who has lived abroad and traveled the world, the biggest adventure has been right here at home. I love having friends and family over and welcome them often. A home filled with the warmth of laughter and good food is a beautiful thing. I want our daughter to grow up feeling that love surround her always.

Events have always been something I have been interested in. When I was a child my Mother says, I would host parties for the children in the neighborhood. Not your run of the mill paper hat, plastic table liner, oh no. Even as young as seven I’d make my own props and decorations, have stations and activities planned out for my guests. My dolls would also constantly have very busy social calendars it would be difficult to schedule play times. I should have known then that events was where my life was headed.

When I first entered the job force, as many young people, I started in customer service. I worked as a barista for years perfecting my latte art and coffee knowledge. If you noticed our packages, that love of coffee has not gone away. Coffee still remains a large part of my life, as you will find out if you work with me. Working in coffee and retail did prepare me for a life time of problem solving and human relations. You see these people every day and become part of their daily routine. The brief conversations I had with the regulars provided glimpses into lives I would have otherwise not been aware of. Those were cherished moments for me.

I’ve always been an extravert. I’ve directed and have been performing in an improv group at festivals for over 14 years. Theater, especially improvisational theater, has definitely influenced and strengthened my imagination. With improv I can easily navigate any situation I am given. Never short on ideas, even my back up plans have back up plans. That’s all thanks to my many years involved with theater.

I had a fabulous friend who introduced me to wedding planning. She had started her own company and wanted me to join her as an assistant. I loved it. Couldn’t get enough. Under her guidance, my skills were perfected. Over the years she had stepped away from planning while I stepped in. The fast pace adventure of wedding and event planning was all I could think of. It was as if something clicked. This is what I was meant to do.

I started my own company in the beginning of 2016 and haven’t looked back. I have been so lucky to have had incredible clients over the years who remind me everyday that I chose the right path. Every event is different, every story unique. How special is it to be invited to not only design and plan but also share in the special moments of my clients lives.
